Truth in Comedy...

Although this title may be misleading, because there are many things that are really true that are found in stand-up comedy routines, but this is a particular one that stood out to me today.

This comedian I saw recently said, "The problem with these makers of kids movies using older songs in the kids movies is that the kids will think that the song originally comes from that movie."

As I was sitting in the movie theatres watching the previews before my movie started, there was a preview of a movie coming out soon with Asthon Kuchner (spelling? and bernie Mac about this black girl who brings her white boyfriend home, and the parents are all confused, etc... Anyhow, in the car while Ashton and Bernie are there, they turn on the radio and the song "Ebony and Ivory, something something in harmony" that song came on..... sure enough, some kid behind me says to her mommy or daddy, "That's the song from Racing Stripes." I just wanted to turn around and set the kid musically straight, but I refrained.
