the TMI post...

So, this is the post where people will say "Whooaaaa... too much information." So, stop here if you don't wanna read.

1) I have a pimple on my butt... It hurts...

2) I supposedly put too much info on my thefacebook.com profile.... I got some broad txt messaging me... telling me lies, playing stupid games w/ me.... and then crying because I try to find out who she is... I figured, it being a site for college kids only, that I wouldnt have moron's abusing my phone number... Sho'nuff.... I was wrong.. . another case of me giving too much info...

I had a rather lovely day though... just one or two dumb people can ruin it... lol... i'll never understand.

DVDs

SO, this weekend I got 3 DVDs. I bought Elf (such a funny movie)on Wednesday and watched it and am gonna watch it again tonight... then when i got to Vegas i realized that Columbia House sent my Shrek 2 DVD to there instead of Reno (so now I am glad to know I got it) ... and then the Aladdin DVDs were on sale this weekend... so I had my sister pick me up one while she was out.

Speaking of DVDs, I was the happiest man on Saturday when I was reading online and I found out that the Fresh Prince of Bel Air season 1 is coming out on DVD in February... Hoo Wahhhh! I almost wanna start bustin out singing the theme song..

Now this is a story all about how,
My life got flipped turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there,
I'll tell ya how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air...

500 peeps .... 7 weeks.

Wow... 7 weeks later and I am still writing stuff in my blog. And now I just passed 500 people visiting my blog... I don't know how many of those were me, but still, a lot weren't... that's awesome.

I love the feeling where you could just sit and talk with someone all night... there doesn't even have to be anything there... just a wonderful flowing conversation from one topic to the next. Sitting and trying to trace the evolution of the conversation just amazes you... I love it.

Facebook... a cool place... you can find peeps from high school, you can find people in your classes, you can find people with similar interests. Go to thefacebook.com and sign up... and be sure to search for me under "R.J." or "Adams" and you should find me... and add me as your friend (as you see my desperate cry to have friends).

I have noticed lately that I seem to analyze myself as if a psychologist would. I haven't even taken any psychology classes, but I analyze myself based on what I am doing... sometimes it is just half-hearted... but, hmmm... who knows.

ANyhow, Thanksgiving is coming up... there's a lot I am thankful for... I am too tired right now to go through them, but I think I will later on... Speaking of lists... I probably will add my Christmas list on here... which will mostly be CD's you've probably never heard of or items that are priced outside of your budget... (I don't want gifts from you... if you wanna get one fine, but I don't want you to feel like you have to... I won't hate you, and truth is, I am probably not getting you a gift.)

Well... I probably should get to bed... Adios... and have a Happy Thanksgiving to all of you... God Bless...

An okay day...

So, I woke up this morning, kind of tired. I went to church at LifeWay, and enjoyed it. Then I began writing my 6-12 page paper which ended up being 7 1/2. Then I went to have coffee with Sara and I really enjoyed talking with her. It's weird talking with people about what you're going to be doing after college. It's soooo soon... only just a few more months away, it's crazy... I can't wait. Then, I went home and finished that paper, and started my other one and hammered that one out pretty quickly. Then, I got to really get to know someone cool that I met earlier this past week. Her name is Maria... she's a really cool girl. (And before the rumor mill begins to turn, I wanna clear this up right now... there's nothing going on between us.) With that said, I'm in love with her... haha, just playin'. But, she is pretty cool... she even made me dinner, how awesome is that... I love food. We chatted for a while, then I went to church at Covenant and I finally got to hear the main pastor speak (since another pastor usually speaks on Sunday nights). He's a really good speaker... and easy to listen to. Then I came home and proofread my papers, and printed them up.

I then attempted to begin reading a book I have to have 170pages read for by tomorrow, but I just think I am not going to go to that class tomorrow... so whatcha think about that!

Anyhow, that's all I have to say about that... I am going to be gettin in bed fairly early so I can enjoy some quality programming (Boy Meets World and Fresh Prince of Bel Air)... Hooo Wahhh!

Fat pig...

Man, Saturday, I think I ate too much... I had a soccer party and I ate soo much, then I immediately went to a Thanksgiving dinner and ate there... and then some left overs for the soccer party were eaten by me when I got home from the Thanksgiving dinner...
It's now Sunday morning, and I still feel full...

Good day...

Wow, it's only 11:00am, and today is already a good day. I had a test this morning that I barely studied for... and I did really well on it. If I get an 89% on it... then I only have to get a 44% on the final to get a B in the class... and no matter how well I do, I'll only get a B cuz I am on the B-track, and didn't do an assignment needed for the A-track... oh well... It's all good...

Then my 11 o'clock class was cancelled, so that was a nice break of not having to listen to a lecture...

Last night, I was downloading and listening to many different rap beats, and I came across this one and it was amazing. It used a piece of Beethoven, and added a drum beat to it... it was sick. So, then I was going through my poems for a slower, love-type one that I could possibly use. I came across the one that's listed under Friday, October 08, 2004 of this blog. I started rappin' the poem to the beat. After adding a syallable or two here and there to fix the flow, it came out great. I was tellin my friend Rob from Vegas who I haven't talked to in a long time about it, and he listened to the beat and started writing a second verse... we put together a hook/chorus... and it's gonna sound great when he finishes his verse... here's the hook:

Lookin at her, there ain't a thing she's lackin,
Except a knight to fight and slay her dragons,
I wanna climb her tower and treat her like a princess,
To set the mood, i'll light the candles and incense
These feelings are intense, they ain't makin much sense,
when she speaks I can't handle the suspense,
The way she shakes her hips makes me wanna taste her lips,
How much longer will it take me to awake from this,

That's all... by the way, this hook isn't about the KOURTNEY in the poem on October 8th... just a random hook about a random, non-specific girl... since Rob's writing about a different girl, we just wanted something not too specific.

That's all for now... adios!

More Spaghetti, I Say

So... I was hanging out at the Nelson's, gettin' a home-cooked meal, and watchin' Monday Night Football like I usually do on Mondays, when I realized their little 3 year old had a book that I used to have as a kid... the book was called "More Spaghetti, I Say." It's a good book, and it's shocking that I actually remember that book... haha.

This weekend my soccer season ended...we lost... oh well, that's life. Matt and I also chose a beat we'll be using when him, Chris and I rap in the next few weeks.

ANyhow, I am at work finishing off my shift, so I should probably hop offline and head on home... Adios!

Failing...

No, I am not failing, but will probably be failing soon...

I have a bunch of tests and papers and finals coming up in the next month... and my roommate just got 2 months free of Xbox Live... yah, hockey... racing... dance dance revolution... against people across the world! Hoooo wahhhh!

Well, I gotta be up in 7 hours from now to judge Anna, Lyndee, and John's debate tournament... exciting... not really... and getting study time in between the rounds...

Till next time...

Beautiful women...

Wow... as I walked around campus today on my way to different classes, or on my way home, I saw so many beautiful women. The first few I saw was like "Wow, these women are just amazingly beautiful," but as the day progressed I continued to see so many very beautiful women that I just hadn't seen or noticed before on campus.

Also, Ashley walked right by me today and didn't even notice me... what a jerk... "That was a very rude thing for me to do." In her own words... =)

New experience...

So, I had my MP3 player headphones blaring rap music in my ear as I walked around Wal-mart getting things i needed... making sure to get toilet paper and something that I ended up forgetting, but then remembering before I left the store so I was able to get it (Draino, for those who cared...).

Anyhow, as I am strolling through the ice cream aisle, I had to exhibit some definite self control... and I did.

Then, as I got to the chips aisle, I was looking to see if Pringles had any new flavors... they did... "Crushed Pepper...Limited Time Only" So, i figured I'd try them... they are pretty good. Just get regular Pringles and sprinkle pepper on them and eat 'em, and that's what you'd be tasting. Not bad, I like them, but nothing spectacular about them...

That's all, I just wanted to inform you about Crushed Pepper Pringles (Say that 5 times fast)

P.S. I miss you too Lorene... Hi!!
P.S.S Lorene's boyfriend: I don't even know you but I am glad my writing inspired you to create your own blog...

A poem/rap ... whatever...

Hey... I was combing through some poems I had all unsorted and stuff in a folder on my computer... I have a lot of good stuff written... and a lot of crap too. Oh well, here's something I like... this was a poem I wrote in a few minutes (probably 15) but you can really see my passion coming out... and no, it's not to anyone in particular:

TOO BAD... TOO GOOD
Man I'm so tired of all those liars,
Hearts so cold their blood froze fires,
But I rose higher above their lame games,
Many different faces, but always the same games,
I came to know 'em, but ran through 'em like a comb,
Writin about my trials while rhymin though my poems,
But my home's not a haven, "Nevermore" quoth the Raven,
So much pressure on my heart it's about to cave in,
The pieces I've saved 'em, to put together like a puzzle,
I try to cry out but I've been shut up with a muzzle,
My voice has been ripped out and stomped on,
Things all fall apart as if God's gone,
God ain't gone, it's my faith and my face,
But I get power through the shower of the most high's grace,
You haven't done the things you said that you would for me,
I ain't mad, it's sad... it's too bad you're too good for me.

300+ and a lot of cops..

Wow.. I've passed 300 visitors in the last month. I can't believe I have had this blog for a month... although I haven't written every day, I have kept it up writing a few times a week. So, thank you all for visiting, and keep it up.

Today I saw a lot of cops. Probably about 12-13 today... most of them with people they had pulled over. I was sure not to speed, and used Crusie Control to ensure that I didn't.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say those little things and now I am going to lay down and watch some comedy shows and hopefully fall alseep before 12:30a.

Peace!

No catchy title..

Hey hey... it's Sunday afternoon. I just got done having a great turkey/salami/jalepeno sandwich, chips, and a banana. I gotta love the Nelsons for feeding me. They are having homemade salsa, and homemade guacamole for the Carne Asada tacos... and I'm invited... yay! Then I have church, and more homework.

This weekend I began working on my correspondence course that I need to have done, and soon! I also started finding articles for my paper I have to write about video games and violence.

Anyhow, I better get back to working on homework... this week should be nice. I get thursday off from work, and since i never have school, it'll give me a day to catch up on homework and maybe even get ahead (yah right, me, get ahead?!)

That's all for now...

It's the weekend... again

Wow, these last few days since the snow have been pretty hectic. We had a bible study movie night which I left with 10mins left in the movie to go to a volleyball game that ended up being cancelled. I was kind of mad... but oh well, that's life I guess. Then, I worked all day Thursday and had Intervarsity on Thursday night. Then, I got to see Alyssa's hair... it used to be almost down to her butt, and now it's above her shoulders. It looks good, but very shocking... verym very shocking. But, she loves it, so that's awesome! Then, Friday, I had school, then was just very very lazy, watched some TV and a few movies, and talked to Laura and tried to cheer her up online. Now, it's Saturday morning, and I need to get started on laundry, and homework, yipee!!!

'Till next time...

Winter Wonderland..

Probably a very cliche title, but today was the first major snow this winter here in Reno. It snowed and snowed and snowed. It was great, I loved it. I got to play around with my camera on my phone and I took these pictures below... hope you enjoy them. You can click on them to see a bigger version of the picture..

Three in One Day

Wow, I've written 3 posts to my blog in one day... what's going on?

Well, according to early exit polls, it looks like Kerry has the advantage, but who knows... it's all speculation until, the fat lady sings. Speaking of politics, is that a politically correct idiom? Hmm... who knows? I'm sure if you google'd it, you could find out if you really wanted to know.

So, I went immediately from work to my polling place, and I was in and out in 7minutes. I really, really like the electronic voting a lot better. You just click, if you make a mistake, you unclick it and click something else. Then you can have it print up a paper record, and then you can review it, AND then if all is good, you may hit the final "Vote" button to cast your ballot. Pretty nifty to be part of the only state with like 95% of precincts using electronic voting.

Speaking of electronic voting, I received an "I Vote Electronically" sticker. I wonder how much government money was spent on making stickers, and spending the ink to add those 11 letters to the stickers... Where will government waste stop?

I'll have an update later for posterity, to be able to look back to my blog to announce who won the election... if we even know (remembers 2000 all too well.)

Working...

I am at work, showing my boss how this whole blog thing works. I get to work extra hours today (which means I am ditching rockclimbing for the 3rd week in a row). I need to make up hours for last thursday since I was sick and could only work a few hours, and next Thursday is a federal holiday, and since I work for the government, I am not allowed to work that day. But, hopefully next Friday I'll get a chance to work some hours to make up for it.

I plan on going to the polls today... we'll see how long of a wait there is... hopefully it won't be too long!

I'll talk to you guys later...

Flavor of the Week #77

Sometimes I hate the internet, it pisses me off. I wrote this whole long thing about this new girl I like, (surprise surprise), but it deleted it all.

Well, I like someone new. I always say that, almost weekly... it's almost kind of sad. Okay, not almost, it IS kinda sad. Oh well... this one is different. Yes, I always say that, but seriously, this time it's true. This is her second time on R.J.'s Flavor of the Week list. (No, I don't keep a real list, but people who know me know what I'm talkin' 'bout). I liked her last semester... she was in a class of mine. She always sat with this guy, and so I didn't know if they were together or not, so I never wanted to go up to her and what not. (Who am I kidding, I probably wouldn't have gone up to her anyway, boy or not.) ANyhow, she happened to be friends with someone I am friends with, and we were kickin it in a big group this evening. I didn't really get much of a chance to talk to her tonight, but I will be seein her tonight, Tuesday night, and so I will definitely try to get a phone number... so, we'll see...

Hooo Wahhh, what a hottie... and she loves God too.
